Introducing the Sculptra glow to our beautiful patients! Around the age of 20 years old we start to lose our collagen at a rate of 1% per year. That means by the age 45, we have lost approximately 25%! Sculptra is an injectable that stimulates collagen regeneration.
Sculptra is used to enhance your skin’s quality and restore lost facial volume caused by aging, weight loss, or illness. Sculptra works by stimulating long-term collagen production. Sculptra’s main ingredient is Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). PLLA is a biocompatible synthetic substance that increases collagen formation and works on the deep layer of the skin to restore the skin’s structure. Unlike hyaluronic acid-based fillers, Sculptra activates fibroblasts, which are like construction workers in our skin.
Sculptra is used in the framework of the face, from the temples to the chin. This product should not be used around the lips or eyes. On average, three injection sessions over several months are recommended depending on the amount of collagen loss, followed by a once-a-year treatment for maintenance. The collagen formation is stimulated over several weeks leading to natural outcomes and improved skin texture, tone, and natural volume in the targeted area. BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
We’re delighted to guide you through your Sculptra treatment journey.
Sculptra requires a series of treatments for optimal results, so please schedule your appointments in advance, especially if you have upcoming events like weddings or reunions.
As new collagen develops over time, the effects of Sculptra will gradually become visible and we recommend booking your follow-up sessions during your initial appointment. This can be discussed with your provider.
To minimize bruising, avoid blood-thinning medications 2 weeks prior and alcohol 24 hours before treatment, and ensure you stop Retin-A two days before and after your session.
Please reschedule if you have any skin issues near the treatment area or feel unwell. You will receive a reminder email with these details.

POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
After your treatment, follow the 5-5-5 Rule for facial massage to ensure even distribution of Sculptra. We’ll suggest to Alastin Nectar and a complimentary guasha for post-care to facilitate in facial massage.
For the first 24 hours, avoid makeup, and for the following 48 hours, refrain from strenuous activities, extreme temperatures, and consumption of alcohol.
If any issues, like persistent bumps, arise 5 weeks after your treatment, please contact us for a follow-up.

DAY OF TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
On the day of your treatment, let us know if you have a history of facial cold sores to any changes in
medication.
Eating a solid meal before your appointment will help prevent lightheadedness. Arrive with
a clean face, free from makeup, tinted moisturizer, or sunscreen.
Note that treatments are not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals.
Upon arrival, please update The Confidence Bar staff about any changes in your medical history or health status.
